Named in honor of lead donors Charles (UW-Madison '49) and Mary Ann LaBahn, LaBahn Arena opened on October 19, 2012. This beautiful $27.9 million hockey and swimming training and competition facility has greatly benefited Badger student-athletes and fans.
The highlights of this facility project include new men’s and women’s hockey team locker rooms, women’s hockey office suite, locker and team room functions for the men’s and women’s swimming programs, renovations within SERF swimming facility, renovations of the men’s and women’s basketball locker rooms, and the expansion of athletic training room facilities in the Kohl Center and LaBahn Arena.
Key in the creation of the facility was bringing the Badger hockey and swimming teams to a centralized campus location for practice, competition and student services such as academics and sports medicine.
Wisconsin Athletics thank all those who have helped make the LaBahn Arena possible, and especially the donors who made gifts in support of this project listed here.
