Kari Brekke
Kari serves Wisconsin Athletics and the Wisconsin Foundation and Alumni Association as the Associate Director of Development. Kari’s role is focused on connecting friends and donors of Wisconsin Athletics with the department’s top funding priorities to secure meaningful gifts supporting capital projects, scholarships, and operational priorities.
Kari joins the Badgers from VIUM Capital (Columbus, OH), where as an Associate, she led client interactions and helped develop financial solutions. She brings a strong background in relationship management, client engagement, and financial analysis. A former standout student-athlete and team captain for the Bentley University women’s basketball program, Kari understands the balance of athletic and academic excellence that defines the Badger experience.
Kari is a Wisconsinite, growing up in Appleton, WI. She is an all-around Wisconsin sports fan, enjoys traveling and spending time with family.
